DESCRIPTION

Metolux 2 part styrene free wood filler is a pre-coloured, high performance, two component polyester filler that provides a tough, long lasting repair to all woods. Once mixed, the filler sets hard to a shatterproof finish in approximately 30 minutes (for deep fills) and may be drilled, carved or planed once dry. The system is weather proof for both interior and exterior use, typical applications include:- Repairing wood damaged by wet rot. General wood filling in window sills and frames, doors and door frames, banisters, MDF etc. Furniture repairs. Repair of wooden constructions including some marine applications. Grain filling and repairs to shakes, cracks, splits and knot holes.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

1. To ensure proper adhesion, the surface must be dry, clean and free from dust, oil and grease.
2. Place an amount of the filler onto a non-porous board (about the size of a golf ball) and squeeze a small amount of hardener from the tube (about 50-75mm in length) next to the filler. Mix the filler and the hardener to thoroughly blend the two.
3. Mixing will start the curing process, therefore prepare only what can be used immediately.
4. After a period of storage, resin may rise to the surface of the product. If this is evident, simply stir well to return the filler to its original condition.
5. Apply using a spatula or putty knfe leaving the filler slightly proud of the surface to allow for sanding.
6. Quick, easy sanding is achieved if the filler is sanded down within 15-30 minutes from mixing and application.

Once fully cured the filler can be over coated with most paints or varnishes. Ensure surfaces are dry and dust free.
